Why join Warminster Model Boat Club? We have a varied and expanding membership, all very friendly people who will give you a warm welcome. We welcome everybody no matter what age, race, religion, gender etc. Our members have many varied interests in models and not only marine models. Many members have a keen interest in model trains, trucks, tanks, cars, militaria and some of us fly planes as well. We all enjoy a good yarn or a joke at the lakeside.

Anybody who has visited our club on open days often remark “How friendly and welcoming the members are” and “I wish we had the same facilities at our club”. WMBC have a great pond and very pleasant surroundings with all the facilities you could wish for.

Modelling is an absorbing hobby, which can help manual dexterity, mental agility, reduction of stress and has various other health benefits. Radio control modelling has various bodies and associations supporting it.

Paid up Members also benefit from regular meetings, club newsletters and £5M of Public Liability Insurance, which can be used on our lake as well as when visiting other sites and clubs.

We hold four “Open” events per year, one each season where other clubs and their members visit us, and we also have reciprocal arrangements to visit other club waters.

During inclement weather members have club nights at a local venue, we often have people come and give a talk which can be very interesting.
